How Can Any Business Use YouTube Expand Their Customer Base?

How Can Any Business Use YouTube Expand Their Customer Base?

Without question, YouTube is one of the most popular social media sites globally. As a result, it provides many businesses a wealth of untapped potential. Whether you’re a brand new business looking for ways to establish an online presence or have been on the platform for a while but haven’t been able to figure out how to tap into the potential it has to offer, once you grasp how to utilize it effectively, you’ll be certain to grow your following.

There are many ways for a business to use YouTube to expand its customer base. Eight members of the Young Entrepreneur Council describe the easiest strategies they know for helping businesses get the results they seek.

Younger Entrepreneur Council members focus on how any enterprise can leverage YouTube.

1. Demonstrate Extensive Storytelling

The YouTube audience is more involved than other social media platforms like Instagram or TikTok, at least in terms of time spent on a website. Is it sensible and proper? When you sit down to watch a video on YouTube rather than just scrolling through Reels, you’re more likely to devote more time to it. To capture that buyer’s interest, I think YouTube is the best place to display more in-depth storytelling—whether it’s of your model, your quarterly targets or efforts, interviews with your team, and so on. Taking advantage of the chance to show off more of what makes your company unique is a great way to both grow and fascinate your customer base. They learn to know your model and get involved in your tale as a result. – Emily Stallings, Casely, Inc.

2. Make the most of User-Generated Content (UGC) content

Make advantage of user-generated content to educate customers and prospects. Don’t rely on yourself or your company to generate all of the content. By including user-generated content, preferably from customers and partners, you can make your channel more accessible and provide personal, easy-to-digest information. It’s also a fantastic, natural way to grow your YouTube channel by encouraging customers to visit the channel and upload their videos. — Ryan O’Connell, Boomn

3. Collaborate with YouTubers Who Know What They’re Doing

Collaboration with professional YouTubers or influencers to cross-promote each other’s brands is one way to expand your customer base through YouTube. However, be certain that you partner with someone who has a large audience. This might help you reach a whole new group of people. This exposure, in turn, will assist you in raising brand awareness, establishing trust, and attracting new visitors and results to your channel. Thomas Griffin, OptinMonster

4. Request Buyer Recommendations

In exchange for a gift, request buyer recommendations for a film (which is not the same as a product review). Buyer ideas aid in the creation of discourse and legitimacy for your company, as well as the formation of a community around your model. When you think of YouTube as a community rather than just a platform to upload videos, you’re more likely to succeed. Simply ensure that you are not infringing on any review terms if you ask for customer recommendations. Finally, provide consumer feedback on some of the brands you appreciate and admire. The more you give, the more you get. Shu Saito, All Filters

5. Produce Behind-the-Scenes Documentaries

Creating behind-the-scenes videos is a great method to humanize your model. You may highlight your employees, specific regions of your workplace, high-quality management, and other aspects of your business. Because you’re offering a window for people to observe how your business operates, this kind of content generates a sense of trust and goodwill. It’s a chance to emphasize why your company is a suitable fit for customers. Just keep in mind that values, employee well-being, and other concerns that strike an emotional cord must all be addressed. You can improve your brand’s image and convince people to engage with your company. — Blair Williams, MemberPress

6. Interact with others and join daily

Do more live videos and use them as an opportunity to communicate with more people while also reminding them to check out your new stuff. Participate and communicate, even if it means leaving comments on other accounts with whom you cooperate. Use photos and YouTube Shorts to communicate with your audience daily, if possible. Make it a habit to attach daily. This is effective since the more stuff you post on YouTube, the more opportunities you’ll have to be noticed and taught. Furthermore, in the case of YouTube, the more visible you are, the better. Daisy Jing, Banish

7. Submit Tutorials And Instructional Guides

The most effective way to utilize YouTube to grow your business is to create educational guides and videos that teach clients how to use your product. There’s a considerable chance people will find your channel without first hearing about your services or goods. If they see an illustration in one of your courses, you can bet that some of your visitors will visit your website and become customers. Customers are hyper-focused on products that provide actual value to their lives. Therefore, this strategy works. Instead of saying, “Buy my stuff,” you might say, “This is what my product can achieve,” which may elicit significantly different reactions from visitors. — Chris Christoff, MonsterInsights

8. Arrange for product giveaways

When you consider that over 2 billion people use YouTube each month, it’s clear that there are several unique advertising opportunities for businesses of all sizes. One frequent technique to utilize YouTube to grow your business is to arrange a giveaway in which you give away a handful of your best-selling services or items. We prefer to design giveaway criteria that are in keeping with our various promotional goals. For instance, if we want to produce more email leads, we let our YouTube subscribers enter another contest by joining our mailing list. — John Turner, SeedProd LLC
